MACOMB, Ill.– Former Robert Morris head coach Dale Starr recently was named head coach of Western Illinois. This morning, he added a familiar face to his staff as former outside hitter Alyson Londot has been named an assistant.

Londot, who was an integral part of the Colonials’ roster over the past five seasons and a captain to boot, finished her career in Moon with 788 kills, 2.19 kills/set, 491 digs and 93 total blocks.

In her final season in 2021, Londot recorded 181 kills, 55 digs and 19 total blocks.

Londot expressed her excitement to join her former coach in a statement to Colonial Sports Network.

“I am very excited to be joining the Leathernecks and being able to be a part of creating a new culture,” she said. “Playing for Dale [Starr] the past five years, we have a great relationship and understand one another, so we will be able to use that to our advantage when rebuilding this program. I am extremely grateful to Dale for giving me this opportunity.”

The former Colonial has spent time in the coaching ranks with Pittsburgh Elite and will look to bring her volleyball expertise to Macomb.
