#FormerColonialWatch: Anna Fairman selected to Chinese national hockey team

BEIJING– A week and a half out from the Opening Ceremonies, that was enough time to squeeze in the fourth former Colonial in Beijing as Anna Fairman was selected to be a part of Team China, it was announced Wednesday.

Fairman played her freshman and sophomore seasons at RMU before the program was cut in 2021. She played in 31 games with three assists in her freshman year. In her sophomore season, she played in 23 games with one goal and four assists.

The 20-year old currently plays with the KRS Vanke Rays in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. She has played 22 games with seven assists.

The defenseman is the fourth Colonial to be represented in Beijing. Brianne McLaughlin (United States), Meeri Räisänen (Finland) and Aneta Ledlova (Czechia) are the other Colonials represented in China come Feb. 4.
