MOON TOWNSHIP– On Tuesday, RMU football announced that the team will begin a home-and-home series with the Towson Tigers starting in 2025.

The series will start on September 26, 2025, at Johnny Unitas Stadium in Towson, Maryland, and then will play a return game at Joe Walton Stadium on September 27, 2026.

This will just be the second time in school history the Colonials have faced a CAA team, playing James Madison this past spring.

Coach Bernard Clark spoke to the media on how playing a team like Towson is good for the program.

“We’re excited about the opportunity to add Towson as part of our non-conference schedule with a home-and-home series. It’s a chance to go and compete with a perennial contender in the Colonial Athletic Association as well as help build more regional rivalries.”

The 2025 matchup will be the fourth time the two programs have faced and the first time since 1997. The Tigers lead the all-time series 2-1 with RMU’s win coming in 1996 at Moon Stadium with a low-scoring 7-0 decision.
