Justin Winston enters transfer portal

Justin Winston announced Thursday that he is entering the transfer portal.
Winston was a transfer from St. Bonaventure entering this season, playing in 21 games, mostly coming off the bench.
He was a deep threat coming off the bench, adding depth for big men in the post. The junior averaged 8.7 points per game, including 19 points at UIC which was a season-high. His season came to an abrupt end on Feb. 8, fracturing his foot in practice.
Winston is the third player to enter the portal, joining Kam Farris and Brandon Stone, entering the portal this past week.
With Stone and Williams entering the portal and Kahliel Spear’s decision looming, Matt Mayers is the only man on the roster taller than six feet, six inches.
