Hastings was second in the conference in rebounds, averaging 7.8 per game.

With the Horizon League basketball season coming to a close, on Monday the conference announced its all-conference teams, featuring Colonial forward Markeese Hastings being named to the All-Horizon League Third Team.

Hastings led the team in scoring and was 13th in the conference with 14.5 points per game. He also was second in the conference in rebounding with 7.8 boards per game, and fourth in the league with a 52.4% field goal percentage.

“We are thrilled that the coaches of the Horizon League respected the season Markeese had by giving him the honor of an all-conference selection,” Pat Gallagher Head Coach Andy Toole said. “Markeese has been a great addition to our program. In addition to being a great rebounder, he exceeded our expectations as a shooter and scorer. We are all proud of him, and I know he is extremely grateful to be selected.”

The Grand Rapids, Mich. native played his graduate year at Robert Morris, transferring from Western Michigan.

The Colonials will face Purdue Fort Wayne at the Gates Sports Center on Tuesday, March 5 in the First Round of the Horizon League Tournament.
