The Mid-American Conference announced its Preseason Coaches Poll on Tuesday, which saw the Colonials ranked third.

Although, RMU did pick up a first place vote from one of the coaches, a positive reflection at the team’s new head coach Courtney Grove taking over.
After making the MAC championship last season but falling to Central Michigan 15-13, Robert Morris looks to find a way back. This year they’ will try under new direction, with Coach Grove and new assistant coach Emily Simmer taking over from Katrina Silva.
The Colonials racked up a 7-1 conference record last season, including an overtime win against their MAC final opponents, Central Michigan. RMU’s lone loss came against Kent State at home.
Women’s lacrosse opens their season against The Ohio State for now the third season in a row on Friday. Last year the Colonials dropped to the Buckeyes 18-6. Coach Grove looks to make a statement in her preseason debut, with high expectations now riding.
