The RMU football program welcomed a new face to the team Friday afternoon as Will Bunton Jr., a grad transfer from VMI, committed to RMU.

Bunton is a 6’2, 201-pound defensive back from Camden, North Carolina.

Bunton played for VMI for three seasons. During his time playing for the Keydets, Bunton racked up 14 total tackles (9 solo tackles and 5 assisted tackles). He also forced one fumble and had two interceptions.

Bunton will be a nice addition to RMU’s DB room as the Colonials look to replace four DBs who graduated after this past season. RMU will be looking to build on their 4-6 record from last year.

This is Robert Morris’ second grad transfer to enter the program as Joe Casale joined the team from Albany at the end of December.
