Robert Morris graduate forward Kahliel Spear becomes the seventh player all time to be selected for two COSIDA Academic All-American teams in program history as he was selected to the First Team on Monday.

The Colony, Texas native finished with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.91. Kahliel Spear is an economics major. This is the second consecutive year that Spear has made the All-Academic team. While Spear did well in the classroom, The Colony, Texas native also made an impact on the floor.

Spear eclipsed the 1,000 point mark this season both at the DI level and at Robert Morris. He also reached 500 rebounds mark as a Colonial in his final year of eligibility. Spear also paced the Colonials in scoring averaging 15.5 points per game along with eight rebounds per game.

He elevated the Colonials to an incredible run this season with back-to-back victories over the top two teams in the Horizon League, Milwaukee and Youngstown State, over the final stretch of the regular season.

Spear truly encapsulated the definition of a student athlete who performs well in the classroom and on the floor.
