Former Colonial forwards Brittany Howard and Lexi Templeman signed free agent contracts with the Toronto Six of the Premier Hockey Federation for the upcoming 2022-23 season.

Howard was one of the most prolific scorers in Robert Morris’ history as she ranked second on the team in goals with 79. She also held the record for most points in program history with 181, until forward Jaycee Gebhard surpassed her record in 2020.

Howard spent five seasons with the Colonials tallying 102 assists along with her 79 goals. While with the Colonials, she also piled up a laundry list of accolades as she was a three-time recipient of the All CHA First team, two-time CHA conference player of the year, 2017-18 second-team ACHA All-American, and a 2018 Patty Kazmaier award top 10 finalist.

Before transferring to Ohio State University for her graduate season after the Colonial hockey program was cut, the other half of the duo, Lexi Templeman, spent four seasons with RMU and put together impressive numbers throughout her time with the program.

Templeman compiled 33 goals and 92 assists with the Colonials while also helping them to their first CHA conference tournament crown since the 2016-17 season.

In her only season as a Buckeye, Templeman recorded 11 points on seven goals and four assists, earning a national championship as well.

Both former Colonials will look to impact the professional stage after successful careers in the collegiate ranks.
