Robert Morris added another non-conference game to its 2022-23 slate, as the Colonials will begin a home-and-home series with Marshall.

The announcement comes just days after it was announced that the team would take on Dayton on Nov. 19.

The first game of the series will be held at the UPMC Events Center this season, with a return game in Huntington, West Virginia, during the 2023-24 season. The date for either game has yet to be announced.

These two teams are no stranger to each other as the Colonials have traveled to Marshall two times over the past three years. RMU opened up the 2019-20 season on the road against Marshall as the Thundering Herd defeated the Colonials 67-60.

The two teams were not expected to meet during the COVID-shortened 2020-21 season. After Robert Morris’ games against Horizon League foe, Cleveland State was canceled, the Colonials traveled down to the Cam Henderson Center and dropped the game to the Thundering Herd 85-71.

Marshall finished this past season with a 12-21 overall record and a 4-14 record in their final season of Conference USA play as they have moved to the Sun Belt Conference after 17 seasons.
