On Friday, it was announced that Robert Morris would take on the University of Dayton Flyers on November 19 as part of their 2022-23 non-conference schedule.

This is the first game announced on the Colonials’ schedule for the upcoming season.

Andy Toole has always tried to challenge his team with a tough non-conference schedule as they have played games against some of the top high majors and power six schools in the country, including Kentucky, West Virginia, Marquette, USC, and Purdue, over the past several years and this year is no different.

Over the past several years, the Flyers have been a tough team to beat. Before the pandemic season, they finished third in the AP Poll, posting a 29-2 overall record in the 2019-20 season. This past season they finished second in the Atlantic 10 conference posting a 24-11 record overall.

As for Robert Morris, they have struggled with the move to the Horizon League as they have yet to win over 10 games over the past two seasons. They look to change that after capturing their first conference tournament win against Youngstown State last season.

This will be the third time in program history that these two teams will match up as Robert Morris and Dayton split the two previous matchups with the Colonials taking the first meeting in 1990, and the Flyers taking the second game in 1992.
