After climbing their way to the conference finals in just their second year, Robert Morris fell to Oakland Saturday morning by a final score of 5-4

In the first, Erika Bell hit an RBI single to plate Alaina Koutsogiani. Taylor Rhinehart followed that up with a triple to score Bell.

The Golden Grizzles cracked the run column at the bottom of the second as Shannon Carr singled to make it 2-1.

In the bottom of the third, Rachael Rhinehart relieved Jane Garver as she got out of the bases-loaded jam.

In the fifth, Taylor Rhinehart doubled to make it 4-1 Colonials.

But in the bottom of the sixth, Madison Jones tied the game up with a two-triple. The Golden Grizzlies were also able to take the lead with a sac fly by Cammie Brummitt.

As the Colonials’ season ends, they finished with their first 30-win season since 2013.

With the win, Oakland will now advance to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2015.
