After spending his first two seasons with the Eagles, Winthrop transfer Josh Corbin has committed to Robert Morris with three years of eligibility remaining, further solidifying the Colonials’ backcourt.

He earned first-team all-league honors for the Ohio Capital Conference and Second-team All-Central Ohio.

Before his time at Winthrop, Corbin was ranked the fifth-best player in the 2022 class in the state of Ohio by Prep Hoops.

When he began his collegiate career, it did not get off to a hot start as his season was cut short in his freshman campaign when he suffered a season-ending injury against TCU.

In his return to the floor in his redshirt Freshman season, Corbin saw an uptick in production, averaging just over 6.5 points per game in 25 games throughout the 2020-21 season.

In his final season with the Eagles, he averaged 4.7 points per game.

After signing players primarily out of high school, Andy Toole and his staff put the finishing touches on their roster, adding players from the transfer portal as Corbin becomes the second member from the portal after Trey James transferred into the program at the end of April.
