Following their 100-74 loss to Bowling Green, Robert Morris has lost one of its pieces as forward Mattia Acunzo has entered the transfer portal, per VerbalCommits.

Acunzo, in addition to playing sparingly this season, dealt with a multitude of issues, including being sidelined with both COVID and injury.

The Italian forward played in just three games but was seen on the bench as recently as their game against Florida Gulf Coast.

He averaged 2.3 points and 1.0 rebounds, having his season-high of five points come against Kentucky.

Once the top recruit in Toledo history, Acunzo will now have to look for his third home in two seasons after coming to RMU from the Rockets in the offseason.

Acunzo is the second player to leave the team after Ferron Flavors Jr. departed in November.
