Hawkins spent his sophomore season with the Colonials and appeared in all 34 games off the bench, averaging 20.3 minutes, 7.3 points. He also shot 42% from the field, and 33% from beyond the arc.

Hawkins leaves Robert Morris (20-14, 13-5 NEC) after winning the Northeast Conference Championship in his first year with the team. The former Colonial guard will have to sit out one season due to NCAA transfer rules.

Norfolk State University is a member of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC). Last season the Spartans posted an overall record of 16-15 overall and 12-4 in-conference. Their record was tied for second in the conference with North Carolina A&T (17-15, 12-4) and just one game behind conference champion North Carolina Central (18-13, 13-3).
