For the second time on Wednesday, a men’s basketball player has hit the transfer portal as senior guard Michael Green III entered the transfer portal, per Verbal Commits.

The Bronx, New York native has one year left of eligibility heading into his graduate season. Green spent the past two seasons with Robert Morris, averaging 9.7 points per game, 3.8 assists per game, shooting 41.5 percent from the field and 33 percent from beyond the 3-point arc.

Prior to his time as a Colonial, Green spent two seasons with Bryant, tying for seventh in the Northeast Conference in scoring in the 2020-21 season and ranking seventh in assists per game.

Green racked up the awards while with Bryant as he was named NEC Rookie of the year during his freshman campaign along with the 2020 All-Northeast Conference Rookie Team. He also received the 2021 All-Northeast Conference Second Team plaudit during his sophomore campaign with the Bulldogs.

Despite transitioning to a sixth-man role this season, Green recorded some RMU career-best numbers, including a 24-point performance against Purdue Fort Wayne on Feb. 12 and an 11-assist performance against IUPUI on Jan 9.

Arguably the biggest highlight of Green’s Colonial career came in his final home game when he hit the game-winning three-point shot with seconds to go in RMU’s playoff victory over IUPUI on Feb 28.
