After hitting the transfer portal earlier this spring, Brandon Stone announced via Instagram that he would be transferring to Delaware State this past Thursday.

Stone transferred to RMU from La Salle during the 2020-2021 school year. He improved on his scoring and rebounding numbers from La Salle during his season as a Colonial but was not happy with the result and after one season.

Stone played in 23 games for the Colonials last winter. Despite not starting any of those games, he was a solid contributor off the bench. The 6’11” forward averaged 6.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game, playing 16.3 minutes per game and earning a shooting efficiency of 51% from the field and 45% from beyond the arc. He also had success at the free-throw line shooting around 86% on the season.

Stone was one of RMU’s more efficient shooters during the season. He will be able to play as a stretch forward for Delaware State and possibly crack their starting lineup.

Stone will have two more years of eligibility at Delaware State. His ability to space the floor and presence in the paint will be difficult to replace for RMU next season.
