After his performance against Marquette this past Saturday, Robert Morris defender James Leary was honored as ASUN defensive player of the week.

He picked up seven caused turnovers (CTO), four ground balls and a goal within four quarters of play at Joe Walton Stadium.

His goal came at the end of the third quarter, stealing a ball from a Marquette player and rushing all the way downfield to score.

With 19 total CTOs and 24 ground balls this season, Leary is a top defender for the Colonials this year.

The junior has been a solid defender all year long. Against Canisius earlier this season, Leary tied a program record with seven CTOs in the 23-6 victory over the Golden Griffins.

The Colonials take on Drexel this Saturday, Mar. 26. at Joe Walton Stadium at 1 p.m.
