Following their two games against Central Michigan and UMBC, Robert Morris freshman Jenna Irwin and graduate Madison Griffin took home MAC Player of the Week honors.

Irwin was awarded MAC Offensive Player of the Week while Griffin garnered the MAC Defensive Player of the Week.

This is the second time this season a Colonial has won the conference’s weekly honor, as senior goaltender Jamie Keller won Defensive Player of the Week a week ago.

Irwin has continued to be the leading scorer for RMU, scoring a hat trick in the win over Central Michigan and followed by a five-point (4g-1a) performance at UMBC three days later. She now has 18 goals on the season.

On the other hand, Griffin was all over the field in both games. She had two ground balls, three caused turnovers and three draw controls to go along with an assist versus Central Michigan and captured seven ground balls, four draw controls and forced four turnovers at UMBC Saturday.

The Colonials travel to Youngstown State on Wednesday to face the Penguins at Farmers Bank Field at 3 p.m.
