ORLANDO, Fla.– For the second time in as many days, RMU football will be represented in an all-star bowl game. This time, it’s graduate student defensive back Tavin Harville.

The Detroit native accepted an invite to the 7th annual FBS SPIRAL All Americans Tropical Bowl on Friday.

The Tropical Bowl “showcases the top college football seniors to NFL scouts and GMs who travel from around the country to the event. The weekend is focused on scouting, teaching, and football.”

Over 350 Tropical Bowl alumni have gone on to the NFL since its inception in 2016.

SPIRAL Tropical Bowl President & Owner Michael Quartey states, “We look forward each year to bringing the best college football players from around the country to Orlando.”

As for Harville, in 2021, he played in 10 games for the Colonials with 30 tackles and two interceptions and was second on the team with four pass breakups.

Harville will wear no. 8 on the America Team and the game will take place on Saturday, January 15.

The SPIRAL Tropical Bowl will take place on January 15th at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
