Yesterday, former women’s basketball player Artemis Spanou was named to the Northeast Conference’s 40th anniversary Mount Rushmore team. Spanou was rewarded after her four incredible seasons as a Colonial.

During Spanou’s time with the Colonials, she led them to the NCAA tournament in 2014 and two NEC regular-season titles in 2010 and 2014. Spanou was with the Colonials from 2010-2014, racking up NEC Player of the Year twice as well as being named 2014 NEC Tournament MVP. She was also was a 4x time All-NEC honoree, and NEC career leader with 1,563 rebounds and 86 double-doubles.

Spanou was named to the team alongside Vanessa Blair (Mount St. Mary’s), Amanda Pope (Sacred Heart) and Jess Zinobile (Saint Francis).
