The tournament will take place in San Juan, Puerto Rico from June 11-19. Castro will play for Argentina in Group B, doing battle against the likes of The Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, The United States, and Venezuela. Group A is represented by Canada, Brazil, Colombia, El Salvador, and The Virgin Islands.
Despite struggling early on in her collegiate career to get consistent statistics, Castro seemed to flick a switch in the middle part of the season, becoming the highest scorer and rebounder on the team. Castro contributed six consecutive double-digit point efforts, two games over 20 points, and three double-doubles. For her efforts, she was named Horizon League Player of the Week once and named to the All-Freshman Team.
Castro has a tough task to prepare for in San Juan, trying to get in game shape for team Argentina. She will help the Colonials attempt to out-do their four-win season in 2020-21.
