The Robert Morris men’s lacrosse team announced on Twitter Monday afternoon that they would be adding a game to their 2020-21 schedule. They will face Syracuse for the first time in program history on Friday, May 7 at the Carrier Dome. The game is scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. start.

The Colonials’ matchup against the Orange will be their fourth ACC opponent this season. They opened their season with a 16-12 loss to Duke on February 7. Their next ACC match-up took place on February 27 when they suffered a 19-7 loss to Notre Dame and their last ACC match was on March 20 when they fell 14-12 to Virginia.

Syracuse is 6-4 overall and 2-3 in the ACC. The Orange recently won both of their matchups against Virginia (20-10, 13-11) and also recorded victories against Vermont (17-13), Stony Brook (17-9), Holy Cross (15-6), and Albany (13-8).

The Colonials (6-5) are riding a three-game winning streak. In the Crown Lacrosse Classic on April 3, they beat Jacksonville by a score of 16-15 in Rock Hill, South Carolina. They extended their streak on April 10th with a 15-7 victory over Cleveland State. RMU last took the field on April 16th when they defeated Bucknell 8-7. They return to action on Saturday, May 1st when they take on the University of Utah.
