In her freshman year, the midfielder finished third on the team in goals with six and total points with sixteen. She recorded six goals and 16 points in 19 games at Snow College and was a crucial part of the program making the conference championship two years in a row.
During her two years with the Badgers, she earned a first-team all-region nomination and SWAC All-Tournament Team selection. She also played for the Japanese U-16 National Team in 2015.
Before switching to midfielder Hayashi started as a defender for four years at Daisho Gakuen High School in Toyonaka, Japan.
RMU women’s soccer will soon be returning to the field for the first time in Horizon League competition since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The team went 6-10-2 overall in their final season as well as 4-5-2 in-conference.
