The Bethel Park Blackhawks (2-2, 1-1) travel to Tigers Stadium to take on the Moon Tigers (2-3,1-1). Bethel Park looks to bounce back from a 7-6 loss to the Central Catholic Vikings (4-1,1-1) last Friday. Moon looks to keep up their momentum after dominating the Chartiers Valley Colts (3-2,0-2) and winning 26-0. Moon hopes to defend their home field and take a victory for their Homecoming game.

The Blackhawks are coming off a tough non-conference loss to a well-coached and very talented Central Catholic team. The Vikings struck first after they took a 7-0 lead, which was the only score they needed to secure the victory. Bethel Park kicked a couple of field goals to tighten the score, but ultimately could not complete the comeback.

Some Blackhawks to look out for are Sean McGowan and Brandon Cole. McGowan is a running back who is light on his feet and can easily find holes to run through. McGowan is also a threat at safety where he can play sideline to sideline and rarely misses tackles. Cole is a guard who excels at run blocking and usually pancakes his opposition. Cole also plays linebacker where he is proficient at stopping the run and stopping plays in the backfield.

The Tigers are coming off a dominant performance over the Chartiers Valley Colts. The Tigers offense and defense were firing on all cylinders and it was evident in the box score. Moon ended up with a 26-0 win over a conference rival after the game was called at halftime due to poor weather.

Some Tigers to look out for are Jamal Littlejohn and Christian Tanner. Littlejohn is a linebacker who made his presence felt last Friday. The junior linebacker tallied four sacks against the Colts in only two-quarters of play. Littlejohn also plays a bit of running back and adds a threat of speed and catching ability out of the backfield. Tanner is a linebacker who always seems to show his special defensive ability in every game he plays in. Tanner is also an offensive threat to the opposition. In his last game, Tanner had two receiving touchdowns out of the backfield.

This game should showcase a strong defensive performance by both teams. Whoever wins the turnover battle in this game will come out with a victory.
