It seems as if a Colonial will come out of the week every Monday afternoon with an award. This week, two Colonials won CHA weekly awards.

Graduate student Shailynn Snow was awarded conference Player of the Week after her three-goal weekend in the RMU sweep over Lindenwood.

Snow had three points in each of the two games against the Lions. She scored two goals and an assist in the 7-5 win on Friday in game one and a goal and two assists in the 6-3 game two win.

The Newfoundland, Canada native is on a four-game point streak, as she has produced three goals and five assists in that span. This is Snow’s first conference award of the season.

With the CHA playoffs just around the corner, Janelle Evans has been getting hot at the right time. She has won back-to-back conference Rookie of the Week awards and her fourth win of the season.

Evans tallied a multi-point game in both games in St. Charles, Mo., with a goal and three assists.

Also from Canada, she has scored four goals and four assists during her four-game point streak and five goals and 10 assists over her last 12 games.

The Colonials will face Mercyhurst in the first round of the CHA Playoffs. The best-of-three series will begin on Friday in Erie at 2 p.m.
