On Monday, Robert Morris Vice President and Director of Athletics Chris King was named NACDA Athletic Director of the Year.

King has been the head of the athletic department for Robert Morris since 2019. In his time here at Robert Morris, we have seen the Colonials sprout into many different conferences like the MAC, Horizon, ASUN and the Big South.

King has done incredible work growing the brand of Robert Morris and making sure the Colonials continue to grow in the right direction. He continues to preach the value of the athletic department here at Robert Morris.

This award spans across seven divisions and is handed out to the winners at the 58th annual NACDA & Affiliates Convention at the World Center Marriott Resort In Orlando, Fla. on June 13.

The award is given out to the athletic directors that give their student-athletes the support to succeed and to make sure that they have the equipment to thrive and become great people as well. This award is a high honor for athletic directors as it shows that they care about the community and the athletes.

For King being in his four year as the athletic director of Robert Morris, this is an incredible achievement and the Robert Morris brand is growing and going in the right direction.
