With just under 200 days till Robert Morris hockey returns to the ice for their first action in over two years, the transfer portal is going to be a big spot for the Colonials to bring in pieces for this upcoming season.

In doing so, they land a talented net-minder in Chad Veltri, a four-year player out of Niagara University. Veltri stands at five feet eleven inches and weighs 187 pounds. He has a butterfly-type of style to his goaltending abilities.

In his career at Niagara, Veltri has posted good numbers in his four years. He has a career save percentage of .911 and owns a goals-against average (GAA) of 2.65 and owns a career record of 34-45-8. He also had six career shutouts at Niagara.

This is a great addition for the Colonials and in this instance, the transfer portal is doing the program well as they will look to continue to rebuild the team for the return of Colonial hockey.
