On Wednesday evening, sophomore guards Janeira Scott and Jazmyne DeShields announced they would transfer to Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) via their Instagram.

DeShields appeared in 12 games for the Colonials in the 2021-22 season. In those 12 games, the Memphis, Tennessee native scored nine points and had four rebounds and one assist.

Scott, a 5’2 guard from Bridgeville, Delaware, appeared in eight in the 2021-22 season for the Colonials, making a averaging two points a game.

Neither player appeared in a game in the 2022-23 season before the announcement was made. Both will look for new horizons and opportunities while playing for the Division II Crimson Hawks in Indiana, Pa.

With no seniors currently on the roster, the team remains young but loses two potential depth pieces for the future.
