Petrelli wins his second Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week of the season after two wins

On Monday afternoon, Robert Morris goalkeeper Friedrich Petrelli won Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Petrelli won the honor again for his play from this past week with two wins, including a 2-0 shutout win over Detroit Mercy on Saturday.

Last Wednesday, Petrelli helped the Colonials beat VMI by a score of 2-1 while facing five shots.

This season Petrelli has a 1.32 goals-against average while being tied for third in the Horizon League for goals-against average. Petrelli has faced 125 shots and earned 32 saves so far this season. The Robert Morris goalkeeper is second in shutouts in the Horizon League.

The Colonials will return to action Saturday. Oct. 29 against Green Bay.
