Shortly after the Big South Conference announced the full conference schedule Wednesday, Robert Morris announced their full schedule for football.

Six teams will play five league games each to determine the league’s automatic bid to the FCS Playoffs. The slate begins Saturday, Oct. 8 and wraps on Saturday, Nov. 19.

Robert Morris will begin their sophomore campaign in the conference hosting Gardner-Webb at Joe Walton Stadium on Oct. 8.

In their first season, the Big South, the Colonials played in the Big South, finishing 4-6, including 3-4 against conference opponents.

These five games add to the three already scheduled non-conference games in 2022 that featured traveling to Miami (OH), Appalachian State and hosting East Tennessee State.

Three more non-conference opponents were announced on Wednesday.

The Colonials will travel to Dover, Delaware and face MEAC’s Delaware State on Oct. 1. In the first meeting between the two, the second straight season the Colonials will face a MEAC school after beating Howard last season.

RMU will also travel to Murray State’s turf. It would be interesting considering the merger between the Big South and Ohio Valley following the 2022 season. It will be a tune-up game for what sort of competition the Colonials will see with the OVC after the merger.

It was announced Bryant would be an associate member of the Big South since the move from the NEC to the America East. The Colonials will play the Bulldogs in the season finale at the Joe on Nov. 19.
