Robert Morris women’s basketball has a new transfer leaving the program, as forward Ashya Klopfenstein will be leaving the program after one short year.

Klopfenstein adjusted to the Horizon League as the season went along, becoming a dominant force in the paint late in the season before her injury.

Klopfenstein, who joined the program after two years at the JuCo level, averaged 8.1 points a game and 5 rebounds but had her season cut short after she tore her ACL.

This year, her best game was at Cleveland State, where she scored 16 points and two blocks.

Klopfenstein is now the second player to enter the transfer portal after Natalie Villaflor entered the portal as a graduate transfer. Klopfenstein has two years of eligibility remaining.
