The Mid-American Conference announced its 2022 coaches preseason poll Tuesday. Robert Morris has been selected as the preseason favorite, receiving three out of six possible first-place votes.

The Colonials went on to win the MAC last season in dominant fashion, as they went a perfect 10-0 and received the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, where Notre Dame shut out the Colonials 16-0 in the opening round.

The Colonials will be hoping to repeat last season’s conference play success and return to the tournament for a second consecutive year.

The poll shaped out as follows:

3. Akron (22)
4. Kent State (21)
5. Youngstown State (13)
6. Detroit Mercy (7)

Robert Morris opens up the season on a trip to Ohio State this Saturday to face the Buckeyes in Columbus at 3:30 p.m.
