Among the nine transfers men’s basketball received this offseason, two required approval from the NCAA to play this season due to previous transfers, St. John’s transfer Rasheem Dunn and Oklahoma State transfer Ferron Flavors Jr.

Today, both have received their waivers from the NCAA and are eligible to compete this season, per CBS Sports college basketball insider Jon Rothstein.

Robert Morris' Rasheem Dunn and Ferron Flavors have both received waivers from the NCAA and are eligible for the 21-22 season, per a school spokesman.

Dunn previously played for St. John's and St. Francis (NY).

Flavors previously played for Oklahoma State and Cal Baptist.

Dunn is no stranger to RMU, playing with former NEC foe Saint Francis Brooklyn during his freshman and sophomore year before transferring to Cleveland State. While he is technically a stranger to Horizon League play, Dunn redshirted with the Vikings during the 2018-19 season due to the NCAA transfer rule before landing with St. John’s. This season, Dunn averaged 9.4 points, 2.9 rebounds and 4 assists per game with the Johnnies and will look to carry over his stats to RMU.

Flavors Jr. spent the last season at Oklahoma State and will be entering his fourth college team. A well-traveled guard, Flavors Jr. started at Fairfield before transferring to Cal Baptist and then Oklahoma State. While he only averaged 3.4 points per game with the Cowboys, he averaged double-digit points with both Fairfield and Cal Baptist and will attempt to reclaim those marks as a Colonial.

Last season, forward Kahliel Spear had to apply for a waiver before the one-time transfer rule was enacted and had to wait until December for his to be approved, but luckily for coach Andy Toole, Dunn and Flavors Jr. do not have to wait as long.
