After splitting their series with the Bowling Green Falcons, the Robert Morris men’s hockey team will take the two-hour drive to Erie to take on the Mercyhurst Lakers on Saturday at 4 p.m. at The Mercyhurst Ice Center.
The Lakers come into this matchup following a 4-3 loss to the Ohio State Buckeyes in Columbus. Davis Burnside was able to net two goals vs the Big 10 foe. In the Net for the Lakers Owen Say, was under fire most of the game and was able to keep the team afloat. He faced 48 shots and had a save percentage of .917.
The Colonials are now 1-1 as they begin conference play. Three different Colonials put the puck in the net in their two games. McKay Hayes, Logan Ganie, and Dominic Schimizzi all helped out.
Look for RMU to drive play through the neutral zone in this matchup as they look to contain their success in conference play in 2021 before the teams were discontinued.
