The Robert Morris men’s soccer team will have two matches this week. They will continue their Horizon League action on Saturday and have a non-conference game against St. Bonaventure at the North Athletic Complex at 3 p.m.
This will be the second to last non-conference game that the Colonials will play as they travel to Wake Forest later in the season. Looking at today’s matchup against St. Bonaventure, the Colonials seem to be evenly matched against the Bonnies.
All time against St. Bonaventure, the Colonials are 1-1-1. So it is safe to say it is a pretty even match these two teams should have today at the NAC. They last met on Aug. 28, 2018, ending in a 0-0 draw. While there has been a ton of roster turnover, both teams look evenly matched.
The Colonials must watch out for the Bonnies’ star player, Andres Javitt, who comes into this match with 12 points (five goals and two assists). He is a dangerous player who is able to put a shot from any angle.
The Bonnies come into this contest winners of their last two straight matches in which both resulted in clean sheets. They beat Canisius 4-0 and George Mason 2-0.
Robert Morris has a rough going of it as of late being losers of their last three matches against Duquesne, IUPUI, and Milwaukee. They will look to right the ship against the Bonnies.
Then, on Saturday in an RMU soccer doubleheader, the Men’s team will take on Purdue Fort Wayne on Sept. 30 at 3 p.m. The Colonials are also going into this matchup evenly matched as they are 1-1-1 against Purdue Fort Wayne.
Saturday will be a jam-packed day for Robert Morris Athletics with four games. Only one game will be on ESPN+ this week, and that is the matchup today, with kickoff at 3 p.m. against St. Bonaventure.
