Women’s Hockey Announces 2023-24 Schedule

After a two-year hiatus off the ice, the Robert Morris women’s hockey team announced their full schedule for the 2023-24 season on Monday.

The Colonials are slated to play a 32-game campaign, including 20 conference games against CHA opponents.
The first official regular season series will be on the road against Union College on September 29 and 30, with their home opener on Oct. 7. They will face off against Saint Anselm at 2 p.m. and again the next day at noon.
“We are very much looking forward to competing against some of the top programs in the country in the non-conference portion of our schedule,” said Colonials head coach Logan Bittle. “We can’t wait to see all of our fans at the Island starting with our home opener vs. St. Anselm.”
The Colonials will play in two in-season tournaments. At the end of November, the Colonials will head south to play in the Smashville Showcase in Nashville, Tenn. On Nov. 24, they will play Boston University and then Mankato on Nov. 25.
RMU will host the Battle at the Burgh tournament at the Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry Township. The Colonials will kickoff facing Bemidji State on Dec. 29 and then will face Colgate or Maine the next day depending on the results.
“We are thrilled to bring back the Battle at the Burgh,” said Bittle. “It’s a very high-level mid-season tournament and will be a great showcase of our game.”
The Colonials start the tourney off with Bemidji on December 29 and then will face Colgate or Maine the next day depending on the results. They will also face power five competition, including Syracuse and Penn State, each having a home-and-home series. RMU will face the Orange on Nov. 3 and 4 at home and Jan. 26 and 27 on the road.
The Nittany Lions series will be on Dec. 1 and 2 at State College and will come to Neville Island Feb. 9 and 10 for Senior Weekend.
