With the transfer portal now open, the Robert Morris University women’s hockey team will look to build the rest of its roster by adding transfers from across the Division I level.

Head coach Logan Bittle and the rest of his staff have been hard at work putting together pieces to help formulate the Colonials’ 2023-24 squad.

RMU has already added two transfers from St. Cloud State including Chace Sperling, who returns back with the Colonials after spending her freshman year at Robert Morris. Her teammate, Courtney Hall, also intends on transferring into the program after spending four years with St. Cloud State.

Similar to the men’s hockey team, the women’s team held onto a few players that remained from the 2020-21 team. Gillian Thompson, Allyson Hebert and Wasyn Rice all return on the defensive side for the Colonials and will look to become leaders in the impending return to the ice..

Also, several players joined the Robert Morris roster prior to the current academic year and have been practicing throughout the past months with the returning trio of defenders.
