Owen Down Makes ASun All-Conference Team, Wins Fan Vote for Defensive Player of the Year

Coming off an Atlantic Sun Tournament title, it seems the public has an eye on the Colonials once again, with about a month until the regular season begins.
Graduate senior defensemen Owen Down makes his second consecutive ASun All-Conference Team and the only Colonial to be featured.

Down also won the Fan Vote for Preseason Defensive Player of the Year
Among the other winners was Jack Royer of Queens, who won Preseason Player of the Year and Mason Homer of Lindenwood, who won Preseason Midfielder of the Year.
Down had one goal and one assist, starting in all 16 games last season. He was third on the team in caused turnovers with 18 and fifth on the team in ground balls with 33.
The Colonials face Ohio State in an exhibition match in Columbus on Saturday, Jan. 28.
