November 30, 2020
Good things come to those who wait… and Robert Morris women’s basketball hopes that this assessment lives up to its name.
The team announced Monday night the cancellation of RMU’s first-ever Horizon League series against Cleveland State previously scheduled for December 12-13. The games were canceled due to a positive coronavirus test within the CSU program.

Robert Morris is currently grappling with adding additional non-conference games, with a decision being made in the near future. The Colonials are in contact with the Horizon League to try and entertain a different conference opponent in replacement of Cleveland State to still begin the conference schedule on December 12-13.
RMU Athletics also announced today the decision to further prohibit fans from athletic events through the remainder of the calendar year.

The ruling affects not only women’s basketball but also men’s basketball, men’s hockey, and women’s hockey.
A decision on the fate of fans at games in 2021 will be made as January draws closer.
Like many other Robert Morris programs, women’s basketball faces a change in their schedule to potentially delay their debut in the Horizon League.
