RMU 1 (9-13, NEC 3-4), Central Connecticut 3 (12-6, NEC 5-2): Robert Morris, unfortunately, was not able to break their losing streak, losing their third consecutive game. RMU went to play four sets with Blue Devils of Central Connecticut. They lost the first two sets 25-21 and then came back in the third to rally with a winning score of 25-15. They were regrettably unable to force a deciding fifth set, losing the fourth with a score of 25-21. This is the fourth road loss for the Colonials this season. Leaders in the match were freshman middle blocker Maria Alfano with 17 kills, 12 digs and six blocks, junior Allie Yurkovich with 12 digs, and senior setter Brianna Frakes with 53 assists.
The Colonials’ next game will be at home against LIU Brooklyn on Oct. 20 at 7 p.m.
