This past Saturday, The National Lacrosse League (NLL) held its 2022 entry draft. Five Colonials were selected within the league; four of those selections came in the first round.

The first of the four to be selected in the first round was fifth-year midfielder Will Johansen. Johansen was selected seventh overall for the Albany FireWolves.

Next up was fifth-year defenseman Owen Down, who came in at 15th overall, selected by the reigning NLL champions, the Colorado Mammoth.

The Panther City Lacrosse Club next selected Colton Lidstone in Fort Worth, Texas. The fifth-year midfielder was selected 21st overall. The last pick in the first round, also a Colonials, was fifth-year attacker Taggart Clark who was selected 23rd overall by the Philadelphia Wings.

Matt Duncan, who transferred into the Robert Morris program from Scarborough, Toronto, was selected in the fourth round by the Albany FireWolves.

As the draft concluded on Saturday evening, Robert Morris was again well-represented at the NLL draft and continues to be a hotbed for talent in professional lacrosse.
