Robert Morris has announced another opponent on their 2022 non-conference football schedule. The Colonials will face the East Tennessee State Buccaneers at Joe Walton Stadium on September 24, announced on ETSU’s Twitter Thursday.

The reigning Southern Conference champions are the third known opponent for the Colonials this upcoming fall, with the full schedule yet to be announced.

The Buccaneers finished 11-2 in 2021, including a 23-3 blowout win against SEC’s Vanderbilt.

Being a conference champion, the Bucs received a berth in the FCS Playoffs, winning in the second round against former Robert Morris conference contemporary Kennesaw State before eventually losing to eventual national champion North Dakota State.

Another tough matchup lies ahead for the Colonials, strengthing their schedule. It also is the first announced home game for the Colonials in 2022.

The Colonials also have non-conference games scheduled against Miami (OH) and Appalachian State.
