RMU Hockey Celebrity Faceoff Scheduled for Nov. 7

The UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex will be the home of the RMU Hockey Celebrity Face-off.

CRANBERRY, Pa.– In an effort to raise more money for the Hockey is the Goal campaign, RMU and RMU hockey have partnered up with the Pittsburgh College Hockey Foundation and announced a Celebrity Hockey Event.

The event will take place at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Center in Cranberry Township Pa, on Sunday, Nov. 7 with doors opening at 3:00 p.m. and puck-drop at 3:30 p.m.

The celebrities will compete in a traditional game of ice hockey and no matter the score is the game will feature a shootout after regulation is over. Puck drop is scheduled for 3:30 and doors open at 3:00.

The lineup of celebrities so far includes the likes of former Pittsburgh Penguins Tyler Kennedy, Ryan Malone, Eric Tangradi, Phil Bourque and Colby Armstrong.

RMU hockey alumna Brianne McLaughlin-Bittle will also strap on the pads. Former Pittsburgh Steelers Brett Keisel and Shaun Suisham as well as Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto will also be featured.

Ticket prices start at $20 and will all go towards the Hockey is the Goal fundraising campaign. VIP ticket packages will allow access to a postgame celebration as well as a signed stick from all of the celebrities.
