LEWISBURG, Pa.– Currently sitting at .500, the Robert Morris men’ lacrosse team (5-5) is looking to go on the positive side of the win column for the first time this season. To do this, they will hit the road to take on the Bucknell Bison (2-4, 1-4 Patriot).

The Colonials come in after they defeated Cleveland State on senior day, meanwhile the Bison are looking to turn around a hard season so far.

Recapping RMU

The Colonials come into this matchup in a bit of an interesting spot, after a tough loss to Drexel, the Colonials have won two games in a row. The Colonials defeated Jacksonville 16-15 and routed Cleveland State 15-7. In the year, RMU has kept up with some of the best teams in the country and they are looking to end the last two games with a win.

Scouting Bucknell

Bucknell has had a hard season so far, they are 2-4 on the year, and had one game canceled. With only two games left in the regular season, this could be marked down as a lost season for the Bison. The last time Bucknell took the field, they picked up a win against Lafayette.

Players to Watch

Ryan Smith (RMU) – The new all-time points leader in RMU history has been amazing so far in 2021. In six games, he has 17 goals and 11 assists. Smith has given his all to this program and will most likely have another big game in this one.

Austin Popovich (RMU) – Popovich has been a nice complement to Smith this year, netting 18 goals and 9 assists. If Smith’s impact is taken away by the Bison, look for Popovich to pick up the slack.

Tommy Sopko (BU) – Sopko has been a bright spot in a tough season for the Bison. The Berwyn, Pennsylvania native has notched 22 goals and four assists.

Ben Clark (BU)- Clark is the starting goalie for the Bison, with a .454 save percentage. Starting in all six games for Bucknell, Clark also boasts a 12.83 goals-against average.

Score Prediction

I think the Colonials will be too much for the Bison and they will pick up the win by a score of 17-10.
