A few hours after wide receiver Garret Houser announced his plans to transfer, fellow teammate Devyn Charles, a senior linebacker, announced yesterday that he would enter the transfer portal as a graduate transfer.

In a brief seven-game career with Robert Morris, the Riverside, California native had 11 total tackles over two seasons. He also had a career-high seven tackles against Kennesaw State back on April 3.

Charles entered the transfer portal one day before the NCAA announced that their transfer rules would be revised and make the rules more student-athlete-friendly. This new rule allows athletes in all five major sports to transfer without penalty and will be immediately eligible for competition.

Robert Morris ended their season last weekend against Charleston Southern, dropping their season finale 27-14. The team will open their 2021 fall schedule against Dayton on September 4 at Welcome Stadium.
