NEVILLE TOWNSHIP, Pa.– Last weekend, Robert Morris opened their 2021 season as they took part in the Occoquan Sprints hosted by George Mason University. Now the Colonials return home for the first time as they host Marietta on Saturday at the McPhail Boathouse at the RMU Island Sports Center.

Tomorrow’s race will feature Varsity Eights and Frosh/Novice Eights. Fours will not be racing due to river conditions.

RMU’s last time out on the water

At the Occoquan Sprints, the Varsity Eight lineup led by Sebastiana Lopez claimed gold with a time of 6:58.50. Varsity Four also earned silver on Sunday posted a time of 8:10.74.

Marietta’s last time out on the water

The Pioneers hosted Dayton last Saturday. Marietta ran two four-plus sprints winning both with times of 3:58.08 and in the 550-meter sprint they posted a time of 2:03.15.
