An offseason of change for Robert Morris basketball continues as guard Dante Treacy has entered his name into the transfer portal, per Verbal Commits.

Treacy becomes the fourth Colonial to transfer out of the program since February, joining AJ Bramah, Cameron Wilbon and Terrell Brown.

Treacy, who came from Orlando, Florida at the Central Florida Christian Academy, spent the last three seasons in Moon Township, becoming a starter during his sophomore season.

In 83 games as a Colonial, Treacy shot 41.5-percent from the field and 35-percent from outside, averaging 5.9 points, 3.5 assists and 2.8 rebounds, including an 8.7 PPG mark during his sophomore season. He averaged 6.6 points and 4.8 assists last season.

His highest-scoring game as a Colonial came on February 23, 2020 against Fairleigh Dickinson, where he dropped 23 points against the Knights

The moment that put Treacy on the map was his performance during the 2020 Northeast Conference Championship, scoring 18 points and five assists. He was named Tournament MVP for his efforts and was also named to the All-Tournament Team.

Treacy has slick playmaking and shooting skills that would fit nicely on any team, and he will look to do just that by joining a new team in the fall. He could be immediately eligible thanks to the NCAA reportedly moving forward with a one-time waiver.

Robert Morris went 4-15 overall and 3-12 in-conference last season, dropping their opening-round Horizon League tournament game to Detroit Mercy.
