FORT WAYNE, Ind.– The Robert Morris track team will be in Fort Wayne for the Horizon League indoor track championship. This comes after they participated in the YSU Mid-Major Invitational, Mastodon Invitational, and the Denison Invitational. The Colonials look to finish their first season in the conference strong.

Recapping Robert Morris

After beating Denison in Granville, Ohio, RMU travels back to Fort Wayne for the second time in a few weeks, after they took part in the Mastodon Invitational. In that meet, senior Estelle Katende continued her fantastic senior season. She won the shot put with 14.27 meters on her fifth throw. That meet would put Katende in front of the rest of the conference.

Scouting the Competition

In the championships, one school to watch out for is Youngstown State. They have the top three in the 60-meter sprint and also the fifth-best time as well. Throwing wise, Milwaukee will provide a strong challenge for the Colonials.

Prediction

Katende should do well in throwing but in the track events watch out for Gabriella Parker, she could do well in her events, and don’t be surprised if she ends up with a good time.
