HAMILTON, N.Y.– The Colonials (0-2) will look for their first victory of the season after dropping both games against Duke and High Point, and to do this they will hit the road to take on Colgate. The Raiders look to win in their first game of the season as they open up against RMU.

Recapping RMU

The Colonials come into this game after dropping two very winnable games. One of those losses includes falling to the number one-ranked Duke Blue Devils 16-12. In High Point, the Colonials had a hard time keeping up with the Panthers, losing 21-15.

Scouting Colgate

Last year the Raiders didn’t have their best season as they went 0-6 on the year before COVID-19 shut them down. The last time the Raiders took the field was on March 7, losing 16-14 to the Naval Academy. One thing that could be taken away was that the Raiders were close in all their games. Colgate is still on track for a successful 2021 spring season.

Players to Watch

Ben Savick (RMU) – Savick is going to have to keep the Raiders off the board if the Colonials are going to win this one. If the goalkeeper plays well, RMU should pull this one out.

James Leary (RMU) – Leary doesn’t have a goal yet, but don’t be surprised if he nets one. If he can get going on offense RMU could get the win.

Nick Salameda (CU) – Salameda is looking to continue his great defensive play. If he does that the Raiders could win this one.

Mike Hawkins (CU) – Hawkins is the team captain for the Raiders. He could really make a huge impact on offense and defensive and could turn the tides for Colgate.

Prediction

The Colonials have a lot of fire-power and it will be too much for the Raiders. RMU will take this on 12-10. RMU will finally get their first victory of the season.
